Camshafts
Clevite® engine parts has a full line of performance camshafts to meet all of your performance needs. Whether you're building a street racer or a NEXTEL Cup or NHRA engine; Clevite camshafts are precision engineered and second to none in performance and durability.

Hydraulic cams are ideal for up to mid-range performance applications such as street racers. Hydraulic cams are limited when it comes to RPM thresholds, especially over 6,000 RPM - to compensate for this, Clevite offers specially engineered high RPM valve lifters that maintain control and valve adjustment over 6,500 RPM.

OE Manufacturers have adopted hydraulic roller cams similar to those utilized in racing in order to reduce friction and noise - thus increasing horsepower and MPG. Another advantage is less maintenance is required. Due to their advanced design and composition, hydraulic roller cams are generally more expensive than other camshaft types.

Solid cams, for roughly the same cost as hydraulic cams, provide extended operating RPM range, and more aggressive profiles. Used in a wide variety of racing applications, mechanical cams have a higher RPM threshold than hydraulic cams.

Lifters
For performance engine builders that still believe the traditional way is always the best way, Clevite® engine parts offers precision manufactured hydraulic lifters. These conventional hydraulic lifters preserve strict valve timing under all types of operating conditions. These hydraulic lifters are recommended for use with hydraulic performance camshafts with RPM thresholds between 5,500 and 6,000.

Clevite Hi-RPM hydraulic (anti-pump-on) lifters offer the same material composition and strict manufacturing standards found in our conventional hydraulic lifters. Combined with some other technical features, these lifters are able to perform at higher RPM, similar to a mechanical system, but without the constant lash adjustments associated with mechanical lifters.

In addition to the hydraulic and mechanical lifters, Clevite has not compromised quality in the hydraulic roller lifters either. Because of their design, a notable increase in horsepower and MPG can be achieved while greatly reducing friction between mating engine components. Hydraulic roller lifters mean that valves open faster from a completely closed to completely open position for optimum performance. This represents a significant improvement over the conventional flat lifter.

Push Rods
Clevite® chrome-moly push rods are the best performance push rods available in the aftermarket. With coverage for numerous applications, these are the perfect choice for all types of street and race applications. For unique engine requirements where a special length push rod is needed, Clevite offers a chrome-moly "cut-to-length" push rod kit that covers a wide range of popular lengths.

Chrome-moly One Piece Push Rods are the recommended choice for the serious racing enthusiast. The design of this Push Rod makes it desirable for professional racing use. Each push rod is individually measured for consistency and is Black Oxide coated to resist corrosion.

With Clevite Engine Parts' wide offering of performance push rods, you will find the right solution for all of your performance engine needs.

Oil Pumps
Clevite's Performance line offers high pressure and high volume oil pumps that are available for select high performance applications. Clevite's race proven high volume pumps deliver 20 to 25 percent greater flow than standards pumps.

Pistons
Clevite® engine parts offers both Hypereutectic pistons and forged pistons for high performance engines. Each one has distinct advantages in different applications, but the choice is not always easy.

Clevite hypereutectic aluminum alloy performance pistons can operate ideally with standard ring end gaps, and have conventional ring land locations. These pistons have a high silicon content alloy which contributes to excellent tensile and fatigue strength, improved thermal characteristics, greater hardness, and increased resistance to scuffing. These pistons offer a more quiet operation and cost less than forged pistons, plus they are an excellent choice for street performance and bracket racing. They also work well in moderate supercharged applications.

Clevite's hypereutectic claimer pistons enjoy the matchless properties of hypereutectic aluminum. They are strong, light-weight, thermally efficient, they can run tight piston-to-wall clearances (which improves ring seal and longevity), and they have exceptional wear resistance. These pistons are meant to provide performance at a reasonable price.

Clevite forged performance pistons have long been the mainstay of the performance industry. Forged pistons have advantages when it comes to density, strength, and durability over other piston materials. The forging process eliminates porosity in the metal, improves ductility, and will allow the piston to run cooler than a comparable cast piston. The alloy used in all Clevite forged pistons contains a light silicon content which promotes longer life and increased scuff resistance while still retaining all of the load carrying capabilities and durability advantages of a forged piston. Clevite's forged pistons are made to minimize piston weight without compromising strength making them better able to withstand the high cylinder pressures and skirt loads imposed by race use and can survive limited detonation and piston to valve contact that can occur during a race.

Forged pistons are right for street performance, endurance racing, drag racing, or all out street performance applications. If you plan to run a very high compression ratio (11:1 and over), high boost supercharger, nitrous oxide, or an engine that will be operating under extreme conditions approaching detonation, you will definitely benefit from a forged piston.

Timing Components
Clevite® fully flexible inverted tooth chains are produced on state-of-the-art equipment using advanced technology. Each link and pin is made from the highest quality materials and methods available. The finished chain is pre-stressed, ensuring a precision fit and long running life. Clevite inverted tooth chains are engineered to keep today's high tech engines, as well as yesterday's repaired motors, performing for maximum life.

Clevite offers a complete line of timing sets, manufactured to work together for optimum performance. The two- and three-piece sets are precision matched to fit automotive and truck engines from 1955 through today. The matched gear sets are produced from top quality materials to mesh together for years of service. Clevite high performance sets contain roller chains and three-keyway sprockets, packed with complete installation instructions. A full line of import sets are also available for a complete timing system overhaul on import engines.

Valve Springs
Clevite's performance valve springs are specifically designed and engineered to cover most performance engine requirements. Only top quality oil tempered chrome is used to manufacture our valve springs - the springs are also heat set to minimize load loss and inspected for correct open and closed pressures.

Whether you need single, single with dampener, double, or double with dampener, Clevite has your solution. Wound from flat wire, and in the opposite direction of the spring itself, Clevite® double springs deliver higher spring pressure while maintaining the same dimensional envelope.

Valve Spring Retainers
With an array of diameter and step configurations, Clevite's offering of valve spring retainers mean that you can custom design your performance engine to meet your specific demands. In order to handle the RPM of a performance engine, our premium line of valve spring retainers are precision machined from 4140 chrome-moly steel. The 7-degree lock configuration makes it suitable for most performance engine needs.

Valve Locks (Keepers)
Also precision machined in 4140 chrome-moly steel, Clevite® performance valve-locks are available in a 7-degree design, matching OE and most aftermarket retainers. Our high-strength valve locks are your answer when looking for positive retainer retention and consistent installed height over a wide range of applications.
